Born on 9 November 1980, at Clark Air Force Base in Pampanga, Philippines, Vanessa Minnillo travelled widely through her childhood. Her father, Vince Minnillo, an aircrew member for USAF divorced her mother when Vanessa was just 3 years old. Vanessa moved to Florida, then Nevada, and then to Turkey after her mother remarried. In 1990, Vanessa, and her family fled from Turkey due to the Kuwait war and returned to US, where she along with her older and adopted brother moved in with her father in South Carolina.
After winning Miss Teen USA, Vanessa pursued a career in showbiz and made an appearance on ‘Live with Regis and Kathie Lee’. Followed this she moved to LA, took up a hosting job with Fox Sports Net and ESPN, and enjoyed a guest appearance on the long-running daily soap ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’.
2003 found Vanessa working for MTV with Beach House and then moving on to VJ on TRL. She also hosts other shows such as ‘2 Punk Rock 4 This: The Real World San Diego Reunion’, ‘Spring Break Celebrity Fantasies’, ‘MTV Prom Date’, and ‘Never Before Scene: I, Robot’. She lives in New York, and was in the spotlight due to a fling with New York Yankee Derek Jeter.
