Kristine Hermosa Orille, popular Filipino actor was born on September 9, 1983 in Quezon City, Philippines. Her father, Maximillian Orille is a marine engineer while her mother, Mari Alma Hermosa Orille is Spanish. Kristine is the second in line out of the four children and completed her school education from the Querino Elementary School and St. Anthony’s School.
Kristine’s sister was an aspiring actress, and dragged young Kristine for ABS-CBN auditions. Though Kathleen failed to impress during the first screening, Kristine was asked to audition because she had the height as well as the looks. Needless to say Kristine got selected and her career and life changed for the better!
Although many people looked at Kristine as pretty girl, she proved everyone wrong with her acting abilities. She rose to fame with "Pangako Sa ‘Yo", a TV series that became the talk of the town. This TV series also teamed her with co-actor Jericho Rosales who became her real life boyfriend. Kristine’s romantic relationship with Diether Ocampo , during the shoot of "Sana’y Wala ng Wakas", led to marriage. In 2005, she came back to limelight with some exemplary acting in the classic Gulong ng Palad. She played the popular character of Luisa opposite TJ Trinidad . A poet at heart, Kristine is more comfortable relaxing at home with her family than shooting under the bright illumination of the showbiz industry.
