Who wouldn’t want to see a beautiful and sexy female on TV everyday? Well, certainly all males and some females would appreciate the presence of such a personality to brighten up their evenings! And Aubrey Miles is a pro at this.
A TV host, singer, and actor in the Philippines, Aubrey was born Aubrey Sandel on 16 March 1982, in Caloocan. Miles is the third of four siblings and completed her secondary education from La Consolacion Academy in Caloocan City. While in the sophomore year of University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, where she was majoring in voice with piano as minor, Dondon Monteverde, the talent scout, discovered and recognised her talent. Soon, she was signed up for an eight-film deal along with a two-year contract with Regal Films .
By the age of 16, Aubrey Miles appeared in her first sitcom GMA’s ‘Beh Bote Nga’ and followed it up with Best Friends. Between her busy acting schedules, she also found time to participate in beauty pageants such as Miss Caloocan, Miss Lions Club, Miss Ever Gotesco, and Miss Global Philippines. Miles never won any contest but was chosen as runners-up in some.
Her portrayal as a prostitute in the soft porn movie ‘Prosti’ at the age of 20 helped her cement her position as an actor. The movie was a huge box office hit and she acted in other movies, which had varying success at the Box Office. She also started in Regal Movies production ‘Xerex’ that was a box office disaster. This disaster damaged the Miles ability to attract moviegoers and changed the course of her career. Soon, ‘Sanib’ followed that also proved to be a bad bet at the Box Office.
Aubrey Miles got back to TV with ABS-CBN’s ‘Masayang Tanghali Bayan’, besides many other. She also acted in non-sexy and unglamorous roles in movies such as ‘A Beautiful Life’ and ‘Gagamboy’ that was Regal Film’s enter to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2003.
Miles has also participated in ‘The Amazing Race Asia’ with her real-life best friend Jacqueline Yu. As of this writing, she is dating Troy Montero, a Filipino-American actor and model.
